How we use your Google data.

Before Memoquid asks Google for anything, it shows you this, one app at a time. Nothing is read until you tap “Continue to Google”, and nothing changes until you say yes.

Google Calendar

What it reads

The events in the period you ask about: their titles, their times, and the names of the people invited. Nothing outside the days you name.

What it can change

Adding an event, moving one, or cancelling one. Memoquid reads the change back to you first, with the specifics, and nothing changes until you say yes.

Why

So you can ask “what’s on tomorrow” or say “move my 3 PM to 4” out loud, with your hands full.

Who else sees it

Deepgram, our speech-recognition provider. The names of people on your calendar, so those names are heard correctly when you say them. Names only. Never an event’s details. Zero data retention. Never used to train anything.
OpenAI, our language provider. For a question like “do I have time for lunch on Friday”, the events in that period, so an answer can be composed. Never other days, and never acted on. Zero data retention. Never used to train anything.

What it never does

Nothing is read until you ask, and nothing is kept on our servers beyond answering the question you asked.

Permissions this asks Google for: calendar.eventscalendar.readonly

Gmail

What it reads

The sender, subject, date and labels of your recent messages. The full content of a message only when you ask about that specific message, and only the part needed to answer.

What it can change

Nothing. This permission only reads.

Why

So you can ask “anything from Priya” or “what’s unread” out loud, with your hands full.

Who else sees it

Deepgram, our speech-recognition provider. The names of people you email, so those names are heard correctly when you say them. Names only. Never a subject, never a message. Zero data retention. Never used to train anything.
OpenAI, our language provider. Only when you ask about one message, that message’s content, so it can be summarised for you. One message, and only the one you asked about. Zero data retention. Never used to train anything.

What it never does

Google describes this permission as “view your email messages and settings”. That is Google’s wording for the scope, and it is wider than what Memoquid does: it reads headers unless you ask about a message, and it cannot send, delete, move or label anything.

Memoquid’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalised AI or machine-learning models.

Everything on this page is the short form of the Privacy Policy, which names every provider, how long anything is kept, and the rights you have over it. You can disconnect any app at any time in Settings, which revokes our access.

Where you will see this in the app.

When you connect Google Calendar or Gmail, Memoquid shows the section above for that app before it opens Google’s own permission screen. It waits for you to tap “Continue to Google”. Closing the sheet, swiping it away or going back means no, and nothing is requested.
