memoquid

How it compares.

Siri, ChatGPT Voice, Claude voice mode and Gemini Live all let you talk. What each one can do while your hands are full is in their own documentation, read on 11 September 2026 and linked below.

Does ChatGPT voice mode work with your apps, like your inbox or calendar?

No. OpenAI’s help centre says “Voice mode currently does not support apps”: you can talk to ChatGPT hands-free, but it cannot read your inbox or move a meeting while you do. App connections work in typed chat, and in Voice on the desktop app.

Does Claude voice mode have a wake word?

No. You open the Claude app and tap the voice mode icon. Once you are in, Claude can use the tools you have connected, including Gmail, Google Calendar and Slack, and asks permission before it uses one. On the Free plan you can connect one tool.

Do I have to open the Gemini app to use Gemini Live?

Yes, on iPhone. Google’s instructions are to tap the Live icon in the Gemini app and start talking. Once it is open, Gemini Live can give a spoken daily brief and sort your Gmail by voice, on a paid Google AI plan.

Can Siri read my email or reply in Slack?

Apple describes Siri taking “actions in apps like Messages, Music, Reminders, and more”; third-party mail and chat apps are not among the ones it names, and any third-party app is reached only as far as its developer has added Siri support. Siri is the one assistant on iPhone that starts from a wake word without the app open, which is why it is the comparison that matters.

So what does Memoquid do differently?

It starts from its own wake word, on the phone, without opening anything; it works with the apps you already use rather than one company’s; and it reads every change back to you before it happens. It is in private beta on iPhone, and your first app is free for good.
